Crooked River Counseling Services
Therapy consists of weekly meetings where we discuss and make a plan to reach your mental health goals. Your goals are allowed to change as the process goes on. Another important part of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client which should be full of trust, mutual respect and empathy.
Therapy can last as long as it takes you to reach your goals. This will look different for everyone.
A therapist’s role is to guide you and come alongside your journey. They are not there to tell you what to think or how to feel.
A psychiatrist’s main job is to prescribe mental health medication. A therapist’s main job is to perform talk therapy and we cannot provide you with medication. Often having a therapist and a psychiatrist can be helpful in conjunction with one another.
A first session usually consists of me getting to know you and figuring out what your goals are for therapy. I will have a baseline of knowledge about you from reading your intake form.
My schedule changes often, please email me to find out if I am accepting new clients or not.
Emailing or calling me to inquire about getting set up with an appointment is the first step. From there I will instruct you on how to send me your insurance information (if applicable).
Sessions are 52 minutes.
I recommend that clients come weekly at first and then when they start seeing improvement in their mental health I will recommend every other week.
The cost of therapy depends on your insurance plan. If you do not plan to use insurance then the self pay rate is $130 per session.
I allow clients to cancel or reschedule appointments as needed as long as they give 24 hours notice. If they fail to do so there is a $75 late cancelation fee.
We do not offer any weekend or evening appointments.
We are paneled with Medical Mutual and United Health Care (non-medicaid).
